Why it belongs here
Michigan Now records Sanatan Dharma and Hindu-community developments in this state. A named Michigan city putting Diwali — the Festival of Lights — on a civic calendar at a public civic-center room is that lane. This desk reads the night as light, culture, and community on a Michigan public square, not as a sermon and not as a headcount.
