In Beverly Hills, MMD Ganapati leaves a photo record on school grounds
Maharashtra Mandal of Detroit’s Sep 26 Ganesh Chaturthi at Detroit Country Day Upper School now carries an official album: rangoli, dhol-tasha, and an outdoor procession.
On Saturday, Sep 26, 2026, the Maharashtra Mandal of Detroit (MMD) held its Ganesh Chaturthi program at Detroit Country Day School – Upper School, 22305 W 13 Mile Rd, Beverly Hills.
The mandal’s events page now links an official photo album for the day. The frames that are public show rangoli on the grounds, dhol-tasha percussion, and an outdoor procession at the school — Marathi festival practice carried in a Michigan school courtyard.
Why it belongs here
Michigan Now records Sanatan Dharma and Hindu-community developments in this state. A named Michigan mandal, a named public school venue, and an org-posted album are that lane. This desk reads the day as cultural continuity — language, rhythm, and a festival calendar kept alive far from Maharashtra — not as a sermon and not as a headcount.
